every year I photograph the carmellini family in the fall. they really are the cutest family and this fall they have their newest addition, joey, to add to the bunch. i really feel that the best thing about family sessions is the imperfectness. it’s fixing the little ones hair to have them un-fix it right away. it’s planning their outfits and then the grass stain in the first 5 minutes. it’s feeling that maybe we didn’t get the shots we wanted and then realizing the photos we got are the moments that happened as they are and that’s exactly how you want to remember them. i feel that having children and a family is the most success i can have someday and truly the best gift in the world. this mom & dad really inspire me and they have some great, sweet, adorable kids. here are my faves from our session together…

go shorty it’s yo birthday…

My good friends Zach & Allison had an idea to start a brew tour biz in the Portland area, not long after they bought a short bus, named it Lenny, had a graffiti artist paint it green, and they were off and touring. A year later, The Maine Brew Bus, is cruising from brewery to brewery making it a favorite amongst locals & tourists. throughout the year they have added the lovable Don to the team as their brew tour guide extraordinare. myself and all their friends and family couldn’t be more proud of their success so far. recently they had a party to celebrate their 1 year at the Rising Tide Brewing Company in Portland with Hella Good Tacos cooking some yummy mexican and High Spirits entertaining us with their tunes. It was a lot of fun. there were even party hats and cupcakes from Love Cupcakes! it was my kind of party and here are a few photos i snapped with my point & shoot cam…

oh haaay everybody. i’m knee deep in shooting and edits over here. and i’m lovin every minute of it. the chill in the air means that the slow season is a coming but lots of photos to show you from now till then. a few years ago i worked a a big fun & crazy restaurant while building my photography biz. while working there I got to know one of the cooks, a great guy from Philly & his sweet girlfriend. fast forward a few years later and here I am photographing their wedding.

it’s been just about 10 years that these two have been together. yep, that’s right 10 years people! and now they are officially mr. & mrs. scott. i love it. it was really special to be a part of their day and i’m happy to share part one with you…

tons of stuff coming up for you. back to editing for me and i think i’m going to have a smores party tonight! exciting stuff.

and bam just like that it’s monday. i’m feeling much better after getting lots of rest this weekend. I was able to make it to the fair just in time and now i want a lamb, a goat, a baby pig and some chickens. i doubt my landlord will mind ;)

i have some families that come back every year for photos and the best part is seeing them change and watching the kids grow so quickly. last fall little rugan was just a babe sitting in the leaves and now he is a little man on the run. so handsome in his little button up shirt & mini crocs. soo cuuute. here are my faves…

hello friends.

I’m blogging to you from bed today. with my box o’tissues, oj & medicine by my side. I am down and out but i wanted to rally to give you these photos that i love so much.

caitlin and drew are getting married next august and i’m so excited to be part of it. we met at fort williams for their engagement session and they brought their sweet baby bruno with them. the cutest couple, the best weather, and an adorable pup are a recipe for a great shoot. they made the most pinterest worthy props too! here are my faves…

back to sleep i go. have fun for me this weekend and i will have an adorbs family session coming up on the blog for monday.

well it’s october 1st. fall is in full swing and i am really excited about the momentum happening here in my photo world. i had some awesome shoots this weekend and this month is packed with weddings and portrait sessions. it’s a good feeling.

caidra and kris were best friends at first, a couple of high school buddies. time was to tell that they would remain besties, grow so in love, and get married next july. we had such a great time together at Pineland Farms for their engagement shoot. we popped some wheelies, did a lot of hand talking, and played with fire. i know their wedding is going to be a blast and I’m so happy to be a part of it. here are some of my faves from our session..

hello lovelies. i hope you are enjoying the week and this beautiful fall weather. i’ve been hiking, playing softball, and apple picking is coming up on the agenda.

i have a fun little post today of pics i took while visiting my friends allison, zach, archie & kona. these two could not get enough of each other and it was so stinking cute that i had to share.

hey hey party peoples it’s friday and nothing can rain on that parade.

this post makes me happy. great couple, great photos, and it was just really fun. adam & jess started out long distance, him in maine, her in tennesee. an unlikely start for many but these jet setters made it work. they have such a great connection and you can tell, they are so in love. the wedding is set for nashville in january so it seemed fitting to do the engagement photos in our beloved downtown portland, maine.

one of my very best friends, biggest supporters and regular model on the blog for years is getting married!! i feel like it’s an episode of “sex in the city”, an all time fave of ours :)

i’m doubly excited to be in the wedding too! it’s going to be quite the event in our hometown of Scarborough at her family friends beach home on the ocean. the best part is that we met working at the clambake nearby 16 years ago! but enough about our relationship, ha.. her billy is such a great guy and a perfect fit for my sweet friend. i could go on and on about these two, actually three..bailey is the sweetest too, but anyone who knows them, already knows and anyone who doesn’t i think the photos will tell…

can’t wait for the wedding! which i’ll also be photographing..i should start practicing my juggling skills now ;)

just like that it’s a new month. i’m really looking forward to this fall to roll out some exciting new stuff for the business. My new role as photographer for the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, some photography classes, and of course my weddings and portrait sessions.

lynne and kiran are getting married this fall at Grace in Portland. I can’t wait to be part of their day at such an amazing venue and capture their cute little family. their son desmond has the sweetest eyes i have ever seen and i love our shoot in downtown portland.
